Special Summer Place - Cape Reinga Lighthouse

For this activity we had to create an infographic that explains why where you spend your summer is special. I never been anywhere outside Auckland so I'll recommend this place.

  1. Kia ora Joanna, this is Elle from the Summer Learning Journey.

Thank you for sharing your special summer place infographic.

Cape Reinga is a very special place that I have very fond memories of. Have you visited the lighthouse before?

Those are some cool facts about Cape Reinga - I had no idea that it was solar powered, so thank you for teaching me something, it is great to learn something new.

You have chosen a neat image of Cape Reinga lighthouse, however if you're using an image that is not yours, you need to attribute the image with the name of the creator and a link to where you found the image online.
Here are some tips to help you attribute and image that is not yours

Keep up the good work Joanna, it is great to see you putting so much effort into your blog posts!

    Ngā mihi,
    Elle (SLJ)

  2. Hi Elie,
As a start thank you for the comment, but If you read the introduction for this activity you'll notice that I explained I never been anywhere outside Auckland. So the answer to your question is no I haven't seen the lighthouse. About the picture I'm not the only one who used google image (Deborah from Point England School did the same and you gave her bonus point). Thank you once again for the time you took to check my post.

    1. Kia ora Joanna, thank you for your reply.

You are completely right, I must have been so distracted by your awesome DLO that it slipped my mind! I think you chose a great place as your inspiration! Do you have a place in Auckland that is special to you? Maybe a cool playground, or even somewhere you’ve been with your school?

Thank you for letting me know about the attribution - I have let Deborah know that she needs to include a reference to her images as well.

You are most welcome and thank you for informing me about these things; I hope you have a great rest of your day.

      Mā te wā,
      Elle (SLJ)
